In my humble opinion what makes a console next gen is the games. Every generation the games get better and better. Graphics is the big thing for me. When I play on my Samsung DLP Big screen tv...I want the visuals to pop out at me. Secondly the games to be more immersive than the last gen. I don't expect games to visually blow away cutting edge computer games that are ported to the 360. Computers are meant to always raise the standard. Next gen for a console to me is the ease of online...
Your not the only dev that has been working on the ps3 to say that. Most are hush because they dont want to hamper the possible sales of the game they are working on. Good luck in getting it up to 360's high standards. Maybe in 3 or 4 years devs will get more out of the hardware. We'll see.
Have already launched...lol....Now if you are talking about next gen movies in a console...lol...it will begin before Nov 17th. It will begin when the HD dvd add on launches for the 360 and included in bundles. Next gen hd games have been available for 7 months now. Ps3 is a little late to the party. lol
The people who review ps3 games will hold them to a higher standard. They will expect the games to reflect a 200 dollar price difference. Especially 3rd party games. Its just the way it is when you cost 200 more. People expect more. And if the games are worse or the same as 360 games. Ps3 will get bashed for being more expensive but yet offers no value as far as games. We will see. I'm excited to see how it all pans out.

Many people are getting the 360. Many people are waiting to see. And many people plan on getting a ps3. But the truth will be told in November. Comes out with a dvi connector or hdmi connector...the games will look notibly sharper. But until then. dvi computer high end graphics card will look a tad sharper than 360 using componant cables. you loose a bit of the detail in the cables you use.Its just the way it is. If you have a dvd player with dvi connector do the test yourself. I have. Dvi looks noticably sharper then componant. Just like with the ps3. With it using hdmi if the 360 doesn't have hdmi or dvi....it would be logi...
Mid range video card alone is 200 dollars. And the comparisson isn't exact when the computer is connected to a lcd monitor with dvi connector and the 360 is connected to a TV with componant connector. High end video card starts at 400 and goes up to 650. Thats just the video card. And also the game in reference is a port from pc to 360. Even with all those variables its till not a big difference from high end pc to 360 and with mid range and low end the 360 out performs them both. Games...

The reason why the first to 10 million wins...is because when a developer hears....10 million consoles sold......you can see the dollar signs in their eyes. Then you get developers choosing to make more games for the bigger install base because its more profitable. Then with that comes more consumers. You see, games sell consoles. The 360 has SOLD 5 million as of June. 1.8 million sold the last quarter compared to Sony ps2's one million sold. lol....The links clearly state SOLD. Not shipped. Nice try but people can read buddy. Can tell you how many SONY only friends they have that now want a 360. I have about 8 friends that only bought the ps2 that either already picked up a 360 or plan to get one soon. So you take into account the 24 million that will get the 360 from the original xbox owners. Then all those guys that have a friend or two that only bought sony but now want a 360. lol.....It should be interesting.

Yeah I know sony has the market share in the last two generations. So you are right. But this next gen things are looking better for the 360. Just a side note....the first system to reach 10 million has won out every generation of gaming. We are in the 7th generation now with the ps3, 360, and Wii. So its a monumental goal. They won't. If they did there wouldn't be a 500 dollar ps3 with componant cables ONLY. lol...Sony has stated that the 500 dollar ps3 will be able to watch hd movies at 1080p with the componant cables.
